bonprix is the mail-order house, a part of the largest company of this kind in the world, OTTO Versand Hamburg. It conducts its activity in several countries. In Poland, the store is present since 1991. The company sells its products in the Internet in 24 European countries, including Poland, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Slovakia, Romania and Hungary, and that webshops have been designed by us and implemented from scratch.

The aim of the project was to create new channels of contact with customers, information about the latest marketing campaigns by notification in smartphones and tablets, creating dedicated promotions for customers of mobile devices to send information about the statuses of orders and sent parcels, building the image of a modern and reaching with the times brand, build customer loyalty, making the module of customer's account in a simple and transparent form, application support from the existing management panel shop bonprix.

Planning

At this stage, we created a document which contained the goals and objectives that were the foundation for the preparation of functional specifications of the mobile application. During the cooperation, thanks to a very good knowledge of modern mobile solutions, team Media4U was a partner of consulting and advisory. Client's ideas were being analyzed for the possibility of their implementing.

Project implementation

Work on the application was divided into three stages, which were followed by testing of the quality assurance department and the customer. This solution helped eliminate errors and make corrections ordered by the customer in the early stages of project development. The application was created in two versions - the production and testing. The first was the production environment, and was integrated with the client's system. The test application is running on the data which reflects the production environment. This allows us to check the proper working of promotional activities before they are posted online. It also allows independent test for every new solutions, so that the end user gets a fully functional product.

Bonprix brand has gained a new channel of direct marketing and offers its customers added value to the online shopping. Current trends show that people who use mobile devices are the fastest growing group of users.
